Those seeking to punctuate a busy day of a Bali vacation with a fine dining lunch need look no further than the affordable Rosé Lunch available daily from The Legian Seminyak – a luxury seaside resort with its fabled poolside dining venue The Restaurant that overlooks the Indian Ocean.
Long known for its outstanding wine cellar – The Restaurant has decided to place Rosé Wines at the center of its two and three-course set menu luncheons. Rosé Wines, also known as rosada in Spain and Portugal, are among the most popular wines served worldwide today. Too pale in color to be considered red wines, Rosé derives its hue from tallow the skin of the grape given a limited period of contact in the fermentation process. Rosé wines are made as still wines, semi-sparkling and sparkling. The taste, depending on the Rosé selected, can range from very dry to highly sweet – made from a very wide variety of grapes grown worldwide. For those who say they don’t like Rosé, we suspect they merely need to keep ordering this extraordinary type of wine until they find their perfect match.
Rosé Lunch at The Legian Seminyak
The new Rosé Lunch offers local residents and holidaymakers not staying at The Legian Seminyak the opportunity to visit this legendary Resort for a delightful lunch surrounded by a laidback ambiance. Diners can enjoy panoramic views of The Legian’s iconic three-tiered swimming pool and Seminyak Beach below.
Guests joining the Rosé Lunch can choose from a three-course or two-course menu with the option to pair either with a glass of rosé wine. Starters include Salmon gravlax with saffron and herb potatoes or Caponata poached egg with a balsamic dressing, followed by a Fresh Catch of the day or Organic chick leg fricassee as the main courses. Desserts include a Pina colada cup with coconut or Mango cup with banana and passion fruit.
These lunches reflect The Legian Seminyak, Bali’s world-renowned reputation for exceptional culinary offerings. Arguably the best ocean-front dining destination in Bali, The Restaurant showcases contemporary cuisine with a twist of Asian flavours that focuses on using local, organic and sustainable ingredients, all curated by Michelin-starred Executive Chef, Stephane Gortina. The Rosé Lunch three-course menu starts from Rp. 740,000 per person with a glass of rosé and the two-course menu starts from Rp. 500,000 per person, also including a glass of premium rosé.
