Il Ristorante – Luca Fantin at the Bvlgari Resort Bali has announced a one-night-only four-hands dinner with visiting chefs Yoshihiro Narisawa from Narisawa and Luca Fantin from Il Ristorante – Luca Fantin in Tokyo on Saturday,  September 22,  2018.

This unique collaboration features two of Tokyo’s famed contemporary chefs renowned for their style of cuisine, food philosophy, and culinary craftsmanship.

Yoshihiro Narisawa

Yoshihiro Narisawa is an award-winning chef and restaurateur celebrated for his innovative Satoyama Cuisine. His creations are comprised of sustainable ingredients that are faithful to the Japanese geographical environment and the changing seasons - dedicated to taking only the essential resources for daily life from the earth.

Yoshihiro Narisawa is the world-renowned chef and owner of Narisawa Restaurant in Tokyo. He is considered a pioneer in the world of Japanese cooking, applying new techniques, textures, and flavors to the country’s traditional cuisine after many years working with top chefs across Europe

His eponymous restaurant - “Narisawa” has been selected and featured in the prestigious “World’s 50 Best Restaurants” for 10 consecutive years and awarded two Michelin Stars.

At the age of 19, he commenced on his culinary studies in France, Switzerland and Italy, before returning to Japan in 1996. In 2003, he moved to Tokyo and opened the restaurant Les Créations de Narisawa, which garnered two Michelin stars in 2010. The restaurant was renamed Narisawa in 2011. His dishes such as Soil Soup, Water Salad, and Essence of the Forest exemplify his strong interest in epicurean ecology and his theme of “beneficial and sustainable gastronomy”. His dedication to sourcing produce from organic farmers, and his philosophy centered on innovative Satoyama Cuisine, have been recognized in the industry with multiple awards. At  Madrid Fusion 2010, he was voted “Most Influential Chef” of the year, while in 2013 his Narisawa Restaurant won first place in the Asia's 50 Best Restaurants Awards. In 2015, it ranked No. 8 in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, making it the Best Ranked Restaurant in Asia.


The first Italian chef in Japan awarded a Michelin Star and numerous other recognitions including elevation to this year’s “Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants,” Luca Fantin will showcase his interpretation of contemporary Italian cuisine inspired by the Island of Bali. His dishes reflect his signature attention to detail and respect for the top-quality seasonal enhanced with refined kitchen techniques and great creativity.

Il Ristorante - Luca Fantin pays homage to traditional Italian cuisine, with local, organic ingredients all paired with refined techniques and great creativity. These dishes are presented against a seductive ambience overlooking a reflection pond, enhanced with suggestive soft lighting.

Luca Fantin and Yoshihiro Narisawa will harmoniously create an exclusive 8-course dinner combining contemporary Italian and innovative Satoyama Cuisine using the finest ingredients including local and organic produce paired with premium wines against the intimate setting of Il Ristorante overlooking the Indian Ocean.
