Sheandy Satria Appointed Chef de Cuisine at Westin Resort Nusa Dua Bali

Passionate about traditional Indonesian cuisine, Chef Sheandy Satria now gets the opportunity to showcase his skills daily at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali’s popular Ikan Restaurant. With a Post Graduate Diploma in Culinary Arts & Hotel Management from the prestigious Oberoi Centre of Learning & Development in New Delhi, India, Sheandy is a rising star on Bali’s evolving culinary scene.

At the beginning of his career, Chef Sheandy had the opportunity to train with several Michelin Star Chefs. He also was tasked with creating special menus, cooking for visiting royalty and heads of state during his tenure at The Oberoi Hotel, Bali.  

Chef Sheandy believes that Indonesian cuisine deserves greater international recognition. Well-versed in all aspects of culinary operations, he is currently focusing his efforts on introducing diners to the diverse flavors of the Indonesian archipelago through regional food promotions.   


Overlooking the waters of the Indian Ocean, Ikan Restaurant specializes in authentic Indonesian cuisine. This semi-open venue is cooled by a refreshing sea breeze and offers guests a casual dining experience for both lunch and dinner. Each month Ikan Restaurant presents a flavorful promotion that focuses on food from different regions around the Indonesian archipelago. In February 2019, this dining venue will highlight the taste sensation of freshwater fish, while the month of March will be all about satay.
