Indonesia executed its 5th prisoner in 2013 on Sunday, November 17, 2013, when a Pakistani Muhammad Abdul Hafeez (44) was put before a firing squad just after midnight,
The Pakistani was executed in South Tangerang, near the Indonesian capital of Jakarta, as part of a promise to intensify the program of executions for the estimated 132 people sitting on death row in Indonesia.
Indonesia has said 10 prisoners would be shot before the end of 2013 suggesting 5 more prisoners will be shot within the coming month before the end of the year.
Hafeez was arrested in 2001 trying to smuggle more than one kilogram of heroin into Indonesia from Peshwar, Pakistan.
