Bank Indonesia remains optimistic that tourism prospects for Bali will remain strong in 2014.
Beritabali.com reports that Bank Indonesia remain equally buoyant that tourism visitors to Bali will continue to grow in 2014, surpassing the total 3.1 million foreign visitors projected by the Bank for all of 2013.
The chief of the Bank Indonesia office for Bali and Nusa Tenggara, Benny Siswanto, says tourism numbers will grow because of repairs and upgrades being carried out on tourism objects by the province of Bali and regional administrations on the Island.
Siswanto added that Bali remains attractive for investors as evidenced by the building of a number of new hotels in Bali.
The Bank Indonesia chief for Bali also said the strength of the U.S. Dollar against the Indonesian Rupiah is fueling extra buying power for tourists visiting Bali.
