The Ministry for administrative Reform (PAN-RB) has announced a postponement in the retirement age for lower-ranking civil servants from 56-years to 58-years.
Ministerial Secretary Tasdik Kinanto made the announcement on Wednesday, January 8, 2014.
Quoted by Bisnis Bali, Kinanto said: “Civil Servants entering their pension period on February 1, 2104 or later will automatically have their retirement postponed for two further years.
Technical details of this postponement will be addressed in a circular letter to be issued by the head of the National Civil Service (BKN).”
Senior Civil Servants retire at 60 while junior level civil servants will now pension at 58-years of age.
The delay in retirement is expected to affect the pension time of 11,000 government employees.
