An annual holiday money report published by the United Kingdom Post Office has declared the island of Bali as the best value for money for those seeking a holiday abroad.

This year’s results which compare the cost for a “basket of holiday items” was affected to some degree by the declining value of the pound sterling against the euro, making it more expensive for Brits to visit a large host of neighboring nation on the European continent.

That state of affairs, however, was good news for Bali that ranked “best” among the top ten “cheapest” destinations for a holiday.

The rankings based on the purchase of a “basket of goods.

10 “Cheapest” Holiday Destinations

  1. Kuta Bali                                 £ 31.48
  2. Algrave, Portugal                  £ 35.37
  3. Prague, Czech Republic     £ 36.82
  4. Kololi, Gambia                       £ 38.38

  9. Budapest, Hungary               £ 42.85
  10. Hoe An, Vietnam                    £ 44.06
Meanwhile, the same survey also listed the 10 most expensive destinations for a holiday comparing the high-end of purchasing the same “basket of goods.”
