The Bali Water Police have increased patrols on the water approaches to the Island Province in order to anticipate and prevent terrorist attacks.
The director of the Bali Water Police, Commissioner Tubuh Musyareh, quoted by the State News Agency Antara, confirmed sea patrols had been increased covering a distance of 3-miles out from the shore using C3 patrol boats.
Two C3 boats are have been assigned to each of the Bali police sectors (Polres).
At the same time, police are cooperating with port authorities in anticipation of any terrorist activities.
Meanwhile, police working from Jembrana and Karangasem are on alert to monitor any unusual water crossing activities from adjacent islands to the west and east of Bali. Small, informal ports are also under a heightened state of scrutiny by the Bali police.
