Following participation by Bali’s regency of Badung at the Internationale Tourismus-Börse Berlin (ITB) in Berlin March 5-9, 2014, the Regency’s leaders have boldly proclaimed that tourism from Europe to Bali will increase 10% in 2014.
The head of Badung Tourism Office, Tjokorda Raka Darmawan told DenPost on Thursday, March 13, 2014, that the regency chose to promote in Berlin due to ITB’s popularity and the chance to promote to multiple European nations from a single platform. “By promoting there (Berlin), we can be seen at once by other countries,” explained Darmawan.
He said that European arrivals to Bali are on the increase.
As reported by Balidiscovery.com, European arrivals to Bali increased 22.46% in 2013.
Badung regency’s tourism promotion at ITB was led directly by its Regent AA Gde Agung.
During the ITB, the Badung Regency presented awards to leading tour agents and airlines Germany who have made major contributions to developing Bali’s tourism.
