The Wall Street Journal reports that Hyatt Hotels Corporations have entered into an agreement to establish an Andaz Resort in Bali, Indonesia.
The Indonesian partner for the venture is PT Wynncor Bali - the owner of the Grand Hyatt Bali and the iconic Bali Hyatt.
The Bali Hyatt on Sanur beach in Bali recently celebrated its 40th anniversary and then promptly closed its doors to undergo a two-year renovation and rebuilding program.
When the former Bali Hyatt in Sanur property reopens it will bear an Andaz branding.
Jefri Darmadi, a commissioner of PT Wynncor, said: "We have worked with Hyatt for more than two decades, and continue to be very satisfied and optimistic about our current and future relationship with the Company. Working again with Hyatt is an honor for us, and we look forward to introducing Andaz Bali to the region."
The new hotel is scheduled to open in 2016 with an exterior design concept from Tierra Design and interiors by Spin Design Studio of Japan. The hotel will have 144 guestrooms and villas, meeting facilities, multiple dining options, numerous pools and a spa.
There are currently eleven Andaz Hotels now in operation worldwide
PT Wynncor is a joint venture between PT Jakarta Setiabudi Internasional, JC Hotels Hong Kong and Hyatt International Corporation.
