The Bali Daily (The Jakarta Post) reports that Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport will soon be home to a 200-room luxury transit hotel.
Ngurah Arditha, general manager of PT Angkasa Pura I - the airport authority, confirmed that the hotel would be open by June and under the management of Angkasa Pura Hotel. “The location of the new hotel is between international and domestic terminals to allow easy access for passengers who want to use this facility,” said Arditha.
“As a star-standard facility, the hotel will be equipped with a swimming pool, fully furnished star hotel rooms, meeting rooms, spacious lobby room and business center,” said Arditha.
“Many businessmen do not have enough time to meet their clients outside so the airport hotel will have a business center and meeting rooms to accommodate busy passengers. They can meet at one of the airport’s facilities to have their business meeting.”
The Angkasa Pura boss in Bali said the hotel formed part of the renovated hotel’s infrastructure and was not intended to compete with surrounding hotel properties.
