The Broadway musical that inspired the Hollywood Hit – “Grease” will be presented in 3 performances at The Canggu Club June 6-7, 2014.

Often termed the “original high school musical” – the Bali production of Grease will feature all the hit songs from the show including: You're The One That I Want, Grease Is The Word, Summer Nights, Hopelessly Devoted To You, Sandy and Greased Lightnin."

A performing cast of 28 Bali youngsters aged 9-14 years hailing from 7 different international schools will stand before the footlights in the gymnasium at The Canggu Club.

Organized by the Foundation for Teaching Teenagers Creativity (Yayasan Pendidikan Kreativitas Remaja) and CENTERSTAGE Performing Arts and Production School, the show has been in rehearsal since January. The school and its first musical performance will be presented at a high theatrical standard aided by instructors with a long list of screen, stage and performance credits.

Similarly, those producing the production are promising a “true theatrical experience” with no effort spared in lighting, sound and stagecraft

Tickets are on sale at Rp. 150,000 (US$13) for adults and Rp. 100,000 (US$8.70) for children.
