TTG Asia reports that a major inbound operator to Bali and rest of Indonesia reports a 20% increase in bookings in 2014, but a downturn in the rate off bookings for the coming summer months.
Rocky W. Praputranto who is a director of the Panorama Leisure Group said: “Bookings for this summer are slower (than the season last year) as the Europeans’ attention is on the World Cup in Brazil.”
Continuing, Praputranto added: “The Netherlands, Germany, Italy, France, Belgium and Switzerland are our markets and these countries are participating in the World Cup. The Europeans are either staying home or travelling to Brazil for the season (to watch the matches).”
Europe represents 52% of Panorama’s inbound business.
Based on a 15% increase in business during the first four months of 2014, Panorama is expecting a 20% increase in revenues by the end of 2014.
Panorama’s entry into the Asian market 5 years ago is reaping rewards with business growing from the Asian region at 34% per year.
