Renowned U.S. vocal jazz performer Deborah J. Carter is coming to the Uma Cucina Restaurant at the Uma by Como in Ubud Bali for a single night performance on August 10, 2014.
Born in the U.S., Deborah Carter has performed extensively in Europe and Asia, participating in jazz festivals, leading jazz clubs, on radio and TV and in gala stage performances with her own trio and even symphony orchestras.
Music Maker Magazine has declared Carter as “absolutely top class” -and one of the most dynamic jazz vocalists performing in the modern jazz scene.
With five CDs to her credit, Deborah Carter latest release “Blue Notes and Red Shoes” is describe by Carter as “a kind of jazz that reflects the energy and spirit of any capital city, in this 21st century, that has absorbed the influences and cosmopolitan aspects of its inhabitants. And it’s definitely a Saturday night jazz!”
Deborah Carter August 10th performance at Uma Cucina opens at 6:30 pm a four-course Italian feast — choices include lobster ravioli in an orange and olive sauce, char grilled Tonkuzen sirloin steak with burnt broccoli salsa verde, followed by a Valrhona ‘chocolate nemesis’. Each dish can be expertly paired with a delicious wine choice, and a special cocktail menu will be available from the bar.
The evening’s music entertainment at 8:30 pm when Deborah Carter takes to the stage accompanied by her band.

Cost for the four-course dinner is Rp. 850,000 per person plus 21% tax and service (US$90) with additional wine paring for Rp. 350,000 plus 21% tax and service (US$37).
