Visitor to the poolside area of the Contiki Resort Bali on Friday, August 11, 2006 enjoyed the rare musical treat of a one-night-only concert by one of Europe's leading stage bands Spinning Wheel.
A nine-man band hailing from Lucerne, Switzerland, Spinning Wheel displayed tight compositions with a sound driven by its brass and saxophone section that was musicality reminiscent of Earth, Wind & Fire and Maynard Ferguson.
Staying for a week and playing for one night at Bali Contiki Resort in a visit coordinated by Asian Trails Managing Director in Bali, Renato Domini, the enthusiastic crowd got an unexpected treat when Renato, a former member of the band, was called on stage to perform one number with his former musical colleagues.
As shown on balidiscovery.com, Renato (seen second from left, playing the saxophone) has not lost his flair for stage performance in his latest incarnation as a travel professional.
