Pecatu Property Breaking Setback Rules?

Denpost Newspaper Draws Attention to Pecatu Project Claimed to be Violating Zoning Regulations.

(9/8/2008)

Denpost reports that a three-storey hotel being built in the Pecatu Dreamland complex violates setback rules and destroys local views of Bali's seashore.

According to Denpost, the subject hotel is located in the Klapa area of New Kuta Beach at Pecatu Graha.

When the newspaper interviewed local vendors, they knew little of the project and could not confirm it the building is a hotel or condominium project. One vendor confirmed that the project has been underway for several months.

Denpost complained that no one at the project apparently cares that the project blatantly violates setback rules. Similarly, Denpost bemoans that the Badung government is taking no action against the project.

Efforts by Denpost to obtain an explanation from the head of Badung's zoning authority (Dinas Cipta Karya) have been unsuccessful.
