Jetstar the low-cost Australian carrier have announced that they will commence a new Brisbane-Darwin-Denpasar route effective December 3, 2008.
The new route will be initially flown by Boeing 737s, converting to Airbus A320s as loads and equipment permit.
The new Jetstar service to Bali via Darwin will supplement existing Bali services flown by the Airline from Sydney and Melbourne. There are currently six weekly A330 flights from by Jetstar to Bali – two originating from Melbourne and four from Sydney.
Tourism arrivals from Australia to Bali are operating at an all time high, with arrivals increasing 54.7% through the end of July 2008 as compared to the same period in 2007.
