While fears of a deepening worldwide economic crisis have the global travel industry on tether hooks generally, demand for travel from Australia to Bali remains exceptionally strong.
Starting from the end of November 2008 Pacific Blue, part of the Virgin Blue Group begins a wide range of Bali flights [See:Pacific Blue to Fly Oz to Bali 11 Times a Week].
Meanwhile, Garuda Indonesia will soon reconnect Brisbane and Bali with three flights a week. Flights from Brisbane were halted by the national carrier following the 2005 Bali bombing.
The new Queensland flights will represent a 12.5% increase in Garuda's seat capacity ex Australia to Bali, bringing to 31,520 the number of seats available each week from Australia to Bali. Garuda flies to four cities in Australia operating to Perth (21 times a week), Sydney (6 times a week), Melbourne (5 times a week) and the new service from Brisbane (3 flights a week).
