Two leading hotels in Bali have announced new key appointments to their management teams in Bali.
Phil Riley in Regional Role for Intercontinental
InterContinental Bali Resort have announced the appointment of Phil Riley as General Manager & Regional General Manager IHG Indonesia.
With over 30 years of hospitality management experience, Riley brings a demonstrated understanding of luxury hotel operations to
InterContinental Bali Resort. His Bali assignment comes after a 14 month stint as General Manager of the recently opened
InterContinental Asiana Saigon as well as serving as
IHG’s Regional General Manager Vietnam.
Working since 2003 with the
IHG group, Riley has held a succession of senior positions in Australia, Malaysia and the Philippines.
Prior to joining IHG, as part of
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Riley was opened new properties for
Sheraton in Jakarta and China. Phil then moved into a parallel division of the industry with
P&0 Princess Cruises. Appointed Senior Vice President Hotel Operations in 2000, he was responsible for the overall operational aspects of a fleet of 12 cruise ships under the
Princess Cruises flag.
Riley holds a diploma in Hotel & Catering Management and a Master of Business Administration from
Michigan State University.Matthew Hill to Resident Manager Post at Conrad BaliMatthew Hill has joined
Conrad Hotels & Resorts as Resident Manager of the
Conrad Bali following an long career in hotel and regional level management.
In a career spanning 18 years in the hospitality sector, past postings include working as Executive Assistant Manager at the
Radisson Resort Fiji Denarau Island and a senior management positions at
Hamilton Island Resort and
Peppers Retreats & Resorts in Australia.
As part of his new role Matthew will focus on the services offered at the
Conrad Suites and take steps to enhance the Wellness program at
Jiwa Spa.An Australian national, Matthew is married with two children, aged 2 and 4. Matthew’s interests are reading, cooking and sports.
