If the current spat of strong off-shore winds continues the 5th Annual Bali Hotair 2010 kite boarding competition on Bali's Sanur Beach promises to be a thrill-filled event.
Starting as a local competition in 2006, the event has now gained international status, attracting an exciting mix of international and national kite boarders.
This years competition will see participants vying for honors in the following divisions :
• Marathon
• Freestyle
• Hangtime
• Jump for the Chili (Cash)
Building to what many kite-boarding enthusiast view as near-perfect weather conditions, the 8 kilometer long stretch of beach will see daring men and women skip waves and take flight on speeding boards pulled by parachute-like kites.
Competition starts on July 2nd and runs until July 4, 2010 with on-site registration starting on July 1st. Registration on-line is available now.
This exciting event is jointly sponsored by Stiff Chili, Bali Sports Foundation, Porlasi and Blue Oasis Beach Club.
