If you're within a day's ride of Laramie, Wyoming (USA) on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 and have a hankering for a generous helping of Balinese Gamelan, then get on down to a mid-day performance by the Chandra Wyoga Balinese Orchestra from 11:45 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the University of Wyoming's Simpson Plaza.
"Chandra Wyoga" which, in translation, means "meditations on a full moon," was founded by professor Ron Garnett, a world music educator. The ensemble is lead by Balinese I Made Lasmawan with players drawn from University of Wyoming students, faculty, and staff.
Admission to the concert is free.
