Saving Face for Metrosexuals in Ubud

Detailing Facials for Him Offered at The Spa at Maya in Ubud, Bali.

(8/7/2010)

The Maya Ubud Resort & Spa is considered one of Bali's most stunning pampering centers. The winner of numerous international awards and recognitions, the Spa at Maya is accessed via a lift that descends from the top of the valley to a cluster of enchanting, double and single, thatched treatment pavilions, dramatically suspended some 30 meters below along the edges of a jungle river. Surrounded by verdant jungle foliage, the canopied bathtub in each pavilion literally swirling overhangs the waters of the Petanu River.

The Spa at Maya services offers a broad range of soothing and energizing treatments in secluded privacy. Massage therapies include the 90-minute Harmony Duo, a four hand massage with two therapists working in tandem to gently ease the body into a state of total relaxation, employing special techniques to revitalize tired muscles and improve blood circulation. Skin remedies showcase traditional body scrubs utilizing herbal exfoliates, and the Maya Facial is a recipe of fresh natural ingredients including orange, avocado, cucumber, yogurt, egg, honey, mint leaf, apple cider vinegar and ground corn.

There is also the three-hour Riverside Special featuring the signature Maya Massage followed by a body scrub. This pampering package finishes with a sweet-scented flower bath and a rejuvenating facial.

Saving Face for the Modern Metrosexual

In a unique departure from the services normally offered by other spas, Spa at Maya has recently launched a range of special treatments for men that include the ‘Refined Man' - an excellent package recommended after a day of intense physical activity that starts with a treat for the feet followed by a full body massage and an invigorating herbal bath.

Working in conjunction with Pevonia Botanica - one of the leading producers of premium spa products, The Spa at Maya in conjunction with Pevonia Botanica has carefully created five new spa treatments using these tropical spa care products. The Tropical Rejuvenation range includes three facial treatments; Rescue & Repair Facial, Detailing Facial for Him and Hydration Infusion Facial, and two body treatments; Tropical Escape Papaya-Pineapple Crème Fraiche Wrap and Slimming Green Coffee Body Wrap (anti cellulite).
