Some 250 surfers gathered on Kuta Beach in Bali on Saturday, October 2, 2010, for what has become a yearly ritual - "Paddle for Peace".
Held near the first anniversary of the 1st Bali Bombing which occurred in Kuta on October 12, 2002 and every year thereafter, "Paddle for Peace" saw 250 surfers gather on the shore of Kuta before paddling out to sea to form a giant circle at which prayers are offered and flowers strewn into the ocean to commemorate the victims of terror in Bali.
The 2002 Bali Bombing on October 12, 2001, resulted in the deaths of 202 people and injuries to 240 others.
