Winners of 'The Honeymoon Testers' Decide Bali Passes the Newlywed Bliss Test.

(10/9/2010)

Winners of a competition among 30,000 contestants "The Honeymoon Testers" have made their first stop in Asia, arriving in Bali on their quest to find the world's most romantic wedding and honeymoon destinations.

Mark and Denise Duffield-Thomas won the "Ultimate Job in the World" competition organized by the Irish destination wedding and honeymoon company Runaway Bride and Groom.

As part of their obligation as winners of a world tour sampling the best in honeymoon holidays the Duffield-Thomas' must upload blogs, reviews and video to the official website at [www.thehoneymoontesters.com].

In addition to Bali, the lucky couple have affirmed their wedding vows and honeymooned in New York, Kenya, Mauritius, Zanzibar, London, Ireland, Malta, Jordan and Spain.

The Bali segment covers two weeks discovering Bali's amazing culture, exotic food and natural beauty. During their stay they experienced three Bali resorts:

• [The Amala Resort in Seminyak]

• [The Bale Resort at Nusa Dua]

• [The Menjangan Resort, West Bali]

The visit by the "Honeymoon Testers" to Bali was a repeat of their actual honeymoon one year earlier in Bali. "We chose Bali for our own honeymoon last year and we were thrilled to come back on our world tour as The Honeymoon Testers," the couple said. Adding, "after indulging in too much food and drink around the world, we were relieved that our trip to Bali would include some detox, healthy food and yoga."

"Bali has always been a popular honeymoon destination and we want to encourage more couples to experience some calm and tranquility inn one of the most beautiful and exotic countries in the world."

The couple is using their visit to Bali to add to their Guinness World Record attempt to become the most married couple in the world. They have a record 83 vow renewals they must surpass to meet a certain criteria set by the Guinness World Records. On their way to setting a new record, the couple have done 66 wedding renewals around the world so far, including a ceremony with a Masai tribe in Kenya, in a bathtub of seaweed ceremony in Ireland, vows exchanged inside a -110 degree Celsius therapy room, rites done overlooking the sea in Malta and a Balinese poolside ceremony at The Amala wellness retreat in Seminyak, vows performed on a floating platform at The Menjangan and in a treetop tower.

Where will there next affirmation of matrimonial vows take place? After Bali, the "very married" couple head for Queensland, Australia.
