The Indonesian Golf Association (PGI) in cooperation the Bali Junior Golf Community will hold its first Bali Junior Golf Tournament Series on the links of five gold course spread across the island.
More than 30 junior boys and girls, aged from 8 - 17 years, are registered with players travelling from Jakarta, Sulawesi, Surabaya and Perth, Western Australia coming to Bali for the tee off set for the New Kuta Golf Course on Sunday, January 30, 2011.
Tournament play will be based on an 18-hole stroke play gross system with players separated into four age groups: 15-17 years old, 13-14 years old, 11-12 years old and below 10 years old.
Participants are encouraged to enter all 5 tournaments being held in Bali which will earn them points towards the PGI Bali Junior Championship Cup scheduled to be held later in the year.
The PGI Bali Junior Golf Tournament 5 Series and The Bali Junior Championship Cup 2011 was initiated by PGI Bali and a group of interested golfers dedicated to encouraging children to take up the game of golf. The coming tournament series in Bali seeks to educate young golfers in the area of rules, etiquette and sportsmanship at an international level by allowing them to experience the five outstanding golf courses found on the island of Bali.
