Police from the Kuta police precinct continue to investigate the cause of a fire on Thursday, February 3, 2011, that caused damage to the Maccaroni Club Restaurant on Jalan Legian, Kuta, Bali.
The fire started at 2:45 pm, spread by, or potentially originating from, leaking LPG gas cylinders exploding in the restaurant's kitchen.
Damage was limited to the kitchen area and the business office of the establishment. The restaurant's owners expect to be back to business as usual in several weeks' time.
Gede Ganefo, who heads the Kuta police precinct, told the Bali Post that he was awaiting the results of forensic tests carried out at the scene of the fire to determine if further investigations are warranted.
Fortunately, there were no injuries reported in connection with the fire at the Maccaroni Club.
