Flights between Darwin and Bali were interrupted for two days starting from late Tuesday, February 15, 2011 due to Cyclone Carlos and the accompanying high winds that caused cancellation of all flight in and out the busy Northwest Australian airport.
Virgin Blue, JetStar and AirAsia flights between Denpasar and Darwin were affected by the shut down.
As the storm dissipated the Darwin airport reopened on Thursday morning with some carriers laying on extra flights to handle the backlog of passengers.
