The clock is ticking down to the 5th annual BIZNET Bali International Triathlon - now just four months away. There's still plenty of time to train and make travel plans to join either the Olympic Distance or the Sprint Distance events on either an individual or team basis.

Registration For Sprint Distance Race

Last year, a large number of athletes participated in the inaugural Sprint distance race. Designed for athletes participating in their first triathlon, or for those who prefer to race a shorter distance, Sprint Distance Race is a 500 meter swim, a 20 kilometer bike course and a 5 kilometer run starting at 7:00 am - 30 minutes before the Olympic Distance Race.

Plan To Arrive Early In Bali

Participants are encourages to arrive in Bali in time to participate in an escorted course ride and bike blessing ceremony, both on Friday morning, June 24, 2011. This year, the course ride will begin at 8:00 a.m. at the transition area located at the Intercontinental Bali Resort and will finish at Coconut Grove at the Four Seasons Resort. The always popular bike blessing ceremony, performed by a Hindu priest, will begin at 10:00 am after the course ride finishes.

Friday Night Athlete And Media Reception

On Friday, June 24, 2010 ,at 5:00 pm athletes and their families can attend a VIP Reception at the Four Seasons Private Estate.The VIP party is also a media event complimentary wine, beer and Balinese canapés on offer.

On Saturday night, the traditional and very popular high-carbohydrate dinner will be served at the Coconut Grove private beach. Free to registered athletes, modestly priced tickets are also available at US$15.00 for accompanying adults and US$7.00 for children.
