Indonesian television channel Trans 7 TV conducted filming for their popular Indonesian television program "Koki Cilik" (Little Chef) with Bali Hai Cruises for two days in February. Produced as an educational TV program about cuisine, health and travel - "Koki Cilik" is broadcast on Thursdays and Fridays at 3:00 pm.
The Bali segments show the group of child chefs cruising and cooking with
Bali Hai Cruises.There were two sessions of filming conducted for the program. The first took place February 15, 2011 when the junior chefs travelled to Nusa Lembongan onboard the
Bali Hai II. The kids were treated to the
Bali Hai Cruises Reef Cruise and
Beach Club Cruise which included snorkeling, banana boat rides, a semi-submersible coral viewer, ocean kayaks, a Nusa Lembongan village tour, para-sailing, water slides and a BBQ lunch at
Bali Hai's "sandy floor" restaurant overlooking the two-tier lagoon swimming pool.
The second "best day out" enjoyed by the children took place February 18, 2011, when the "chef" joined forced with
Bali Hai's executive chef Suparma who shared his International cooking expertise by demonstrating how to prepare a BBQ at
Bali Hai Cruises beachfront Marina. Included in the lesson were important tips on hygienic food preparation, essential for a cruise operation that serves over 100,000 cruisers every year.
