Bali's raw food enthusiast Diana Von Cranach returns to the Como Shambhala Estate north of Ubud to create Thai-themed "uncooked" dishes on Friday, March 25th.
The author of "Rawfully Good 'Living' Flavours of Southeast Asia", Cranach's return to Como Shambhala comes on the heels of her recent triumphal cookery-book launch dinner at the resort.
Traditional Thai cuisine's emphasis on lightly prepared, aromatic dishes suits perfectly Von Cranach's reliance on the natural nuances of her ingredients. Spice, hot, sour, salty and bitter all balance and interact with great effect to awaken the taste buds when presented raw.
Meet Diana, purchase her book and join an evening of Thai-inspired sharing and tasting at the Como Shambhala Estate on Friday, March 25, 2011 at the Glow Restaurant. The fun starts at 6:30 pm with a set menu of Thai raw specialties available for Rp. 350,000, plus tax and service (US$47).
