Four Seasons Resorts Bali recently announced three key management postings:
Michael Branham – General Manager, Four Seasons Resorts Bali
A 21-year industry veteran, Michael Branham's long and successful career in hospitality has taken him across Asia from Thailand to Tokyo commencing in Jakarta, Indonesia in 1997 with Four Seasons
; coming full circle 14 years later in 2011 as the new General Manager for the island's two Four Seasons Resorts.
Branham joins the Bali team from his most recent position as General Manager in Tokyo at Four Seasons Hotel Marunouchi
where he has been in charge since 2007.
With a demonstrated culinary flair, Branham has played an instrumental roles as Regional Director of Food & Beverage in the openings at Four Seasons Hotels
in Cairo, Las Vegas and Sydney.
Branham was promoted to Hotel Manager, Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo
at Chinzan-so in 2002 and later transferred to Four Seasons Hotel Singapore
, gaining a reputation along the way for creativity and business acumen.
In his latest assignment, Branham will spearhead the upcoming renovation at Sayan and PJ's Restaurant
in Jimbaran Bay.
Branham is joined in his Bali assignment by his wife, Renata, and their two sons Daniel (7) and Benjamin (3).
Edward Linsley - Resort Manager, Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay
A Four Seasons
veteran with more than two decades of hotel and resort experience, Edward Linsley is enthusiastic about his first posting in Asia, after crossing the Pacific from his last job in Hawaii.
A native of Pennsylvania, Linsley began his Four Seasons
career in 1990 at Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia.
Rising steadily through the ranks, he subsequently held positions in food and beverage roles at Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, Four Seasons Hotel Dublin
and Four Seasons Resort Nevis
in the Caribbean.
Earning a certificate in Financial Management: Operations Decision Making
from Cornell University, School of Hotel Administration
in 2007, Linsley was promoted to Hotel Manager at Four Seasons Hotel Houston
and then Resort Manager at Four Seasons Resort Lanai at Manele Bay, Hawaii.
In his new Bali role he is responsible for overseeing the property's day-to-day operations.
Linsley is a long-standing member of the World Affairs Council.
He devotes private time to community-focused activities, including the Muntigunung village revitalization project, an initiative of Four Seasons Resorts Bali
operated in collaboration with the non-profit organization Verein Zukunft fur Kinder.
Helen Norman – Director of Spa, Four Seasons Resorts Bali
Helen Norman is the new Director of Spa for Four Seasons Resorts Bali,
as well as the new Senior Director of Spas, Asia Pacific for Four Seasons.
A British native, Norman began her career in the health and beauty industry at a young age, working in hotel spas since 2000. She assumed the role of Assistant Spa Manager with a leading luxury hotel company in London in 2003, and within a year was promoted to Spa Manager, leading a team of 44 staff. An interest in Asian spa techniques led her to join the award-winning spa at Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong
She joined the team in Bali in late 2010.
During Norman's tenure, her spas have been distinguished by prestigious awards and honors – including being named to the World's Top 100 Spas and UK's Best Urban Spa by Conde Nast Traveler
and as Spa Finder's Best Spa
in both the UK and Hong Kong.
In her new role as Director of Spa for the two Four Seasons Resorts
in Bali, Norman is responsible for the operation of both of the spas and fitness clubs. In her additional capacity as Senior Director of Spas, Asia Pacific, Norman provides support to the Directors of Spa at other Four Seasons
hotels and resorts in the region.
