Bali Bash Night – International Cabaret Acts at Vision Villas, Gianyar, Bali, Saturday, June 11, 2011.

A rare evening of international cabaret entertainment comes to Bali on Saturday, June 11, 2011, presented by Bali Bash.

Bali Bash is a South Australia charity initiative in support of the Bali-based [John Fawcett Foundation] and South Australian [Variety Children’s Charity].

Held at Vision Villas in Gianyar, Bali, the fun gets underway at 7 pm with a welcoming Magarita. Music, a cash bar, a lavish banquet and auctions will be punctuated with exciting cabarets acts flown in from Adelaide to help raise money for the children of South Australia and Bali.

Appearing during the evening will be:

· [Antonio Villano], the Italian-born South Australian tenor with a repertoire covering the music of Neil Diamond to Pavarotti and all points in between.

· [Kate Lara], Adelaide’s most popular event performer with a repertoire that include Jazz, Soul, Disco, Motown, Love Ballads to Rock and Roll.

· [Hans] – is the stage creation of Adelaide satirical columnist and performer Matt Gilbertson. Launched into stardom at the faux German The Weimar Room in the Berlin Cabaret Show, he quickly became a regular on the South Australia comedy club circuit. Matt is an hilariously sharp-tongued professional gossip who works at Radio Nova 919 where he has interviewed such luminaries as Nicole Kidman, Fergie and Pink. Matt has also participated in live coverage of the Logie Awards, MTV Awards and numerous Aria Awards.

Arguably, Hans achieved real stardom in 2009 when he captured the still-intact world record for playing the accordion for more than 29 hours non-stop, performing only Madonna tunes.

Fittingly, a fixture at the Adelaide Fringe Festival, he presented "The Showpony Tour" in 2008 and "Accordion Boys Do it Better" in 2009 which was nominated for the 2009 Fringe Awards.

· Music from the Marimba Band of Bali’s Green School.
