135-Room Hotel Under Construction in Kuta, BaliWhiz Hotels have broken ground on their second hotel in Bali. in the midst of the ongoing construction of their first property in South Kuta (Tuban), a second Whiz Hotel project is now officially underway in a strategic location in Legian, with completion of construction expected by June 2012.

According to Bali Post, the CEO of PT intiwhiz International, Moedjianto Soesilo Tjahyono, told the press on Wednesday, May 25, 2011, that the new hotel is aiming for a 75% occupancy rate in its first year of operations.

Moedjianto said the new hotel wants to attract tourist visitors who wish to stay in the center of Bali entertainment district of Legian. “From a business perspective, Legian is the location with great potential and strong prospects for the future,” he said.

The Legian Whiz is being built on the site of a former hotel. The new hotel’s building will be comprised of a basement level and four above ground floors with a total areas of 2,600 square meters and commercial spaces measuring 800 square meters. The hotel will have 165-rooms covering two categories: standard and deluxe.

The total cost of the hotel investment is put at Rp. 70 billion (US$7.95 million).

Moedjianto is confident that the new hotel will receive an enthusiastic reception from Bali visitors because of the competitive prices it will offer and its strategic location. Based on the experience of their existing property Whiz Jogjakarta which is enjoying 80% occupancy levels, he thinks his brand will quickly win a place in the hearts of island visitors. The hotel is reportedly seeking a business mix of 60% tourist stays and 40% commercial travelers.

Other Whiz hotels under construction are in Kuta (Bali) and Semarang (Central Java). New projects, yet to be announced, are planed for 2012. “In total there will be 8 hotels ready by next year, including the Whiz Hotel Legian,” said the Company’s CEO.

in the future, the Intiwhiz wants to build 60 hotels in Indonesia and abroad. To this end, destinations and suitable parcels of land are being sought, this includes plans to build a hotel in Singapore.
