AirAsia Indonesia and Batavia Air are preparing extra flights on main routes over the peak-season Lebaran period.
The extra flights will be introduced on AirAsia routes between Jakarta and Denpasar (Bali), Jakarta-Singapore and Jakarta-Jogjakarta. On the Jakarta to Denpasar route flights will be increased from the current 2 flights a day to 10. Jakarta – Singapore flight frequencies will similarly be increased from 2 times a day to 8. Meanwhile, the Jakarta to Jogjakarta flights will increase from 2 daily to 5.
As reported by Nusa Bali, AirAsia is expecting a 30% increased in passenger loads over the holiday period. The airline is targeting passenger loads of 100% during the holday period, starting from approximately 26 August until the first week of September, an improvement from the average 80% load factor on AirAsia’s Indonesia flights.
Batavia Air is also preparing extra flights on their services to Padang, Lampung, Semarang, Surabaya and Batam.
