Tempo Interactive cites a United Nations report saying Indonesia is most at risk to tsunamis.
The United Nations’ International Strategy for Disaster Risks Report (UN-ISDR), according to Sutopo Purwo Nugrohi of the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) says, “Indonesia ranked first out of 265 countries in the world for tsunami threats.”
That report says Indonesia is the leading country most at danger of incurring fatalities in the event of a tsunami disaster.
The same report also ranked Indonesia as first among 162 nations worldwide in terms of landslide risk and third-most-at-risk from earthquakes.
In this maudlin ranking of disaster, Indonesia also placed 6th among 162 countries at risk to flooding.
