190 different regions from across Indonesia have already registered to participate in the - Flower Fiesta - National Festival of Flowers and Plants (Pekan Flori dan Flora Nasional – PF2N) to be held on Sanur’s Matahari Beach in Bali November 19-22, 2011.
The vice-mayor of Denpasar, Ida Bagus Rai Dharmawijaya told the national news agency
Antara that Bali would enthusiastically welcome exhibitors and visitors to the event sponsored by the
Ministry of Agriculture hosted at a different location in Indonesia each year.
The exhibition area dedicate to the
PF2N in Bali will cover 9 hectares and will even include an area dedicate to rice agriculture.
PF2N in Bali will be held in cooperation the
Sanur Village Festival and the
Foundation for the Development of Sanur chaired by Ida Bagus Gede Sidartha.
Rai Mantra said
PF2N will represent a meeting point between producers, farmers, businesses, researchers and lovers of horticulture. “We also plan to invite the participants of the
Orchid Festival on Orchid Road in Singapore to attend,” he explained.
The vice-mayor is confident that all the stands for the event will be taken up before the opening of the festival in November 2011.
The area for the
PF2N is now being prepared on a large lot located on the Jalan Raya Bypass in Sanur accessed via Jalan Pantai Matahari Terbit.
