The clock is ticking down on the first –ever Bali Wine Auction.
Set for Sunday, December 11, 2011, the fun gets underway at 3:00 p.m. at the AYANA Resort and Spa Bali with a one-hour "brown bag" wine tasting of six different wines. Guest will be encouraged to “rate” the wines, with the secret identities of the featured wine revealed during the actual auction between 4:00 – 6:00 p.m..
24 lots of wines, merchandise and luxury life-style items with a retail value exceeding US$20,000 will be auctioned off to the highest bidder.

In addition to celebrating wine, the event will raise funds for a special fund to be administered by the
Bali Hotels Association to be used for wine education for Balinese hospitality workers.
The event is sponsored by
Lotus Food Serves, the Gourmet Garage and
AYANA Resort and Spa Bali. In keeping with the “island spirit of Bali,” leading beverage distributors, hotels, and wine producers have generously joined in by supporting the event with luxury merchandise and services.
Admission to the wine auction is limited and costs Rp. 250,000 per person (US$27) which covers:
- Admission to the Wine Tasting of six wines from 3:00 – 4:00 pm on December 11th at the AYANA Resort and Spa
- Admission to the Wine Auction from 4:00 – 6:00 pm.
- A chance to win interesting door prizes, including a portable wine cellar sponsored by Lotus Foofd Services.
- A copy of a lavish auction catalog
