Following a successful introduction, Lakeview Hotel at Kintamani, Batur is launching another Batur Edible Landscape Fair on Saturday, October 27, 2012.
The latest edition draws its inspiration from pumpkins, cashews and chilies resulting in such mouth-water delicacies as pumpkin-chili chocolate truffles and truffles presented on a cashew nut base.
The confections’ presentations resemble the beautiful volcanic mountains and lake surroundings of the hilltop
Lakeview Hotel.
The
Batur Edible Landscape Fair begins on Saturday, October 27th at 3:30 pm and will include a farmers’ market of local produce where pickles, sambals and conserves will be on sale together with the sweet confectionary delights.
In response to bumper crops of cashews from villages surrounding the Batur calderas,
Lakeview Hotel has been busily processing and packaging cashews in a variety of ways.
In keeping with the approaching Halloween holidays, every child under the age of 13 will be given his or her own pumpkin to decorate. Games and other activities for children will also be organized on the day.
Meanwhile, adults can watch the edible landscapes being created before their eyes, enjoy the live music by
Deep Sea Explorers, or sit back and relax while enjoying a cocoa butter hand & foot reflexology massage.
There will also be stands offering the pickles, sambals and conserves with sample platters, as well as food stalls offering Kintamani specialties and
Batur Edible Landscape specialties offered at an affordable price.
From sunset onwards guests will be invited to partake in an extensive dessert spread featuring pumpkin, cashews and chilies.
