Bali News: Dutchman Dies in North Bali Road Accident

A Dutch national died in a motorcycle mishap on the Singaraja to Lovina road in Buleleng regency on Thursday, November 22, 2012.

66-year-old Henk Goarenstroom died instantly from head injuries sustained when he fell from a motorcycle being driven by fellow Dutchmen Barry Roggeween (43).

According to the State News Agency Antara, Goarenstroom was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

The motorcycle carrying the two men was struck by a motorcycle driven by 17-year-old Gede Suardana in the village of Baktiseraga in Buleleng.

Police report the 17-year-old Balinese was unlicensed.
