Central Parking Area for Ubud?
Relief for Ubud, Bali Traffic Congestion Move Forward with Central Parking Lot Scheduled for Opening in 2013

DenPost reports that after much discussion, it now appears that Ubud in Central Bali may soon get a Central Parking Lot and with it relief from its chronic traffic congestion.
The Police Precinct in Gianyar and the provincial government have reportedly given the green light for the project to go ahead.
A ranking official of the Gianyar regency, I Gede Widarma, confirms that the plans for the parking lot are now completed and the Gianyar Police have agreed allow land under their control and needed for access to the parking to be rented to the regency.
Once final authorization for the project is received from the province construction of the parking lot will commence.
The parking lot will measure one hectare with Rp. 1 billion (US$100,000) to be used to build the access roads to the parking lot.
