The owner of The Stones Hotel in Legian, Bali are making good their promise of bringing their hotel into compliance the building plans and permits approved by the regency of Badung.
According to DenPost, those parts of the hotel and entertainment complex being modified are a bale bengong (traditional Balinese gazebo), a recreational area and a swimming pool located on an upper floor.
The modifications to bring the building into compliance with its approved building plan were supervised by Tjok Alit Krisdiyana of the Badung Zoning Authoritt on Tuesday, February 19, 2013.
The renovations follow several written warnings served on The Stones by Badung authorities for failing to build in strict compliance with the architectural plans approved by the government.
The head of the Badung Zoning Authority (Cipta Karya Badung), Desy Darmayanti, expressed her thanks to The Stones for their readiness to bring their building into compliance with their approved plans and add Balinese ornamentation to the structure as required by local regulations.
A spokesman for the Hotel said further plans will see the installation of 22 Balinese statues on the property’s grounds and the renaming of public rooms to reflect elements of the regency of Badung. “This shows our awareness after receiving instruction and guidance from the Badung administration,” said Made Dharmayasa, representing The Stone’s ownership.
