PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom) in cooperation with the Indonesian Police have created a new “110 Call Center” to assist the public in reporting crime.
As reported by the State News Agency Antara, the General Manager of Telkom for South Bali, I Ketut Budi Utama, told the press, “through the help of information technology reports received from the public can be immediately actioned by the police.
The state-of-the-art call center embraces special computer applications, a database, recording and ease-of-access for all operators. Simply by dialing “110” the public can report accidents, criminal activities and leads to the police for immediate follow-up.
Some 60 officers from the Central Police service Center (SPKT) in Bali have undergone training in connection with the new “110” contact center.
Since January of 2013, the “112” quick response number has been replaced by the Bali police with the new “110” number.
