On Sunday, April 28, 2013, the determined battle against the scourge of breast cancer continues on the island of Bali as the Bali Pink Ribbon Walk returns.

More than 500 marchers are expected to participate in the 5-kilometer walk headquartered at the Bali Collection Complex within the BTDC enclave on the Island’s southernmost tip. As in years past, the Bali Pink Ribbon Walk is meant to educate, entertain and motivate people in the battle against cancer. The event, now in its fourth year, starts at 2:30 pm with music, vendors’ stands, games and information booths to visit before the actual group walk begins at 4:00 pm.

Supported by local hotels and businesses, the Bali Pink Ribbon Walk raises funds to expand the theatre of war against breast cancer in Bali. Most importantly, fund generated will go toward supporting the Pink Ribbon House on Jalan Dewi Sri that provides information and practical medical support to members of the community affected by the disease.

The event is certain to be fun-filled afternoon of fellowship among friend who can sample food from stalls, enjoy live music, participate in an online auction and enjoy chances to win attractive raffle prizes. Organizers have even organized for professional medical personnel to be on hand to conduct free breast examinations.

Tickets are Rp150,000 for adults (US$15), Rp.75,000 for students (US$7.50), while children under 12 are free

Join other members of the Bali community to at, shop, walk to support breast cancer awareness on Sunday April 28, 2013 at Nusa Dua.
