The General Manager of the State Power Board (PT PLN) in Bali, Ida Bagus Mardawa, is assuring the government and Bali businesses that the Island's power supply for the October APEC Summit will be more than sufficient.
Quoted in Beritabali.com, Mardawa said, “We promise that the power supply for the APEC and Lebaran holiday will be delivered without interruption to the consumer.”
For the period of the Lebaran holidays until the APEC Conference, PLN will be adding only 50 megawatts of additional power via the Denpasar Pensanggaran Sub-Station. This power will also remain in place for the coming Christmas and New Year’s celebration.
Additional transmission capacity is also being brought on line via the Sub-Station Pandak Gede at Tanah Lot in West Bali.
An additional transformer has also been brought on line near Bali’s Ngurah Rai Airport as back up for electrical transmission to the airport and the Nusa Dua area.
