Giordano Faggioli Leaves the Kitchen to Direct Food & Beverage of Rimba Jimbaran Bali

Rimba Jimbaran Bali has hijacked Giordano Faggioli, the executive chef from its sister hotel the AYANA Resort and Spa, and named him director of food and beverage on their pre-opening team.
 
Giordano joined AYANA in 2010, distinguishing his tenure by earning record-high scores on guest satisfaction surveys. He was ainstrumental in guiding the Resort’s signature restaurant Dava - awarded in the 2012/13 Miele Guide. 
 
Giordano has 20 years’ experience in luxury hotels and restaurants, including executive chef positions at St Regis Beijing, and Four Seasons Resorts in Chiang Mai and Sharm El Sheikh Egypt.
 
While at the AYANA he was invited to join an expert panel on Italian Cuisine at the World Forum in Parma, Italy in June of 2013. This prestigious panel includes chefs, restaurateurs and media representatives from more than 50 countries to assess the current status and chart the future of Italian cuisine.
 
Commenting on his new appointment, Giordano said: “I feel privileged and excited to take on this new challenge at Rimba Jimbaran Bali. Ayana is renowned for its world-class service and unique facilities, and the same attention to detail in creating memorable guest experiences will also be adhered to at Rimba, which has its own unique features and dining venues. The addition of Rimba within the grounds of Ayana really gives our guests the best of both worlds, from the forest setting of Rimba to the ocean-front setting of Ayana, and of course, Priority Access to Rock Bar.” 
 
At RIMBA, Giordano will launch a number of new dining concepts, including:
  • Indonesia’s biggest Chinese restaurant Ah-Yat Abalone Seafood.
  • Ultra-chic roof-top bar UNIQUE.
  • All-day dining venue, To’ge, which also features an open Bakery serving gourmet pastries, cakes and hand-made chocolates.
  • Swim-up Pool Bar as part of the-1 hectare areas of swimming pools winding around the resort.
  • State-of-the-art Cooking School with organic vegetable garden
Both the AYANA and Rimba are under the management of the Capella Hotel Group.
 
RIMBA Jimbaran Bali will open in September 2013 with 297 rooms and suites to expand on AYANA’s  existing 368 rooms and villas. 
 
The 8-hectare resort is located within AYANA’s 77-hectare grounds overlooking Jimbaran Bay.
