Amidst rumors of possible protests accompanying the inauguration of Governor Made Mangku Pastika and deputy-governor Ketut Sudikerta on August 28, 2103, the formal swearing in of the Island’s chief executives has been indefinitely postponed.
According to Nusa Bali, the inauguration’s postponement is not being tied officially to any fear of public unrest, but, instead, attributed to schedule conflicts of the Indonesian Minister of the Interior who must preside over the swearing in.
Teneng said a revised date for inauguration has yet to be formally determined.
