By popular demand, Ubud Tai Chi is again organizing the TAI CHI for Vibrant Health Retreat in the tranquil countryside of Ubud, Bali.
After the success of last year's workshops, participants will again enjoy a retreat with small-group instruction from Tai Chi Master Rod Lee October 18-21, 2013 at the Bali Purnati Center for the Arts.
Rod Lee has over 30 years of experience as a Tai Chi practitioner and teacher. He is also proficient in meditation practice and Shiatsu healing massage, which informs his understanding of mind-body health and wellbeing. His main teacher was a student of the lineage holder Master Huang Sheng-Shyan, famed in Southeast Asia as the ‘Old Man of Tai Chi’. Rod Lee continues to share the master’s Tai Chi style with practitioners in Australia and Southeast Asia.
Rod will lead the weeklong retreat in Ubud, Bali.

The TAI CHI for Vibrant Health Program gives special attention to the ways Tai Chi can be used to support mind-body health. Tai Chi is a practice that has been shown to promote vibrant mental and physical health in people who practice regularly. Young and old alike benefit from Tai-chi's slow, flowing body movements that combine concentration, balance, and awareness.
Participants will work with a number of techniques, including Master Huang's five body-loosening methods, breathing exercises, qi gong meditations, and a Tai Chi short form in the tradition of Master Chen Man-Ching that can be made into a compact practice of just a few minutes per day.
The Bali retreat, suitable to both beginners and experienced Tai Chi practitioners, gives special emphasis to making Tai Chi part of a naturally healthy lifestyle.
