The CEO of the Bali Provincial Water Board Tirta Mangutama Badung (PDAM), Made Yasa, has issued a warning to property developers in the Badung regency.

Yasa is telling developers: “Before promising water supplies from PDAM, it is best if developers first coordinate and determine iF the location for a residential project can receive water from PDAM or not.”

As reported by Bisnis Bali, Yasa said developers are advertising PDAM water supply in the marketing of their project without first ensuring water is, in fact, available. “Because of this,” he added, “in order to avoid this situation prior coordination is needed.”

Many areas of Badung regency, such as the Ungasan Peninsula, are being developed at a rapid pace with home owners compelled to buy water delivered by trucks to their otherwise high-and-dry homes.
