Internet Cable TV Comes to Bali

Biznet Launches the First Cable High Definition TV in Bali

(9/22/2013)

To celebrate its 13th anniversary PT Supra Primatama Nusantara, more generally known as Biznet Networks, has launched Internet and Cable TV services in Bali.

Adi Kusma, President Director of Biznet Networks, speaking at the Bali launch party on Sunday, September 15, 2013, said that people in Bali can now enjoy max3 Internet + Cable TV services. “Broadband Internet with bonus High Definition quality Cable TV is the latest innovation made by Biznet Networks. We are the first company to present Cable TV service with HD quality in Bali,” he said.

With monthly fees starting from Rp 250,000, customers can get entertainment through the Ultra Fast Internet and digital Cable TV services that feature 81 channels (55 Standard Definition channels and 26 High Definition channels), including local TV channels.

Media Partners Asia (MPA-a TV research institute in Singapore) claims Indonesia is comprised of more than 60 million households, 40 million of which own a TV. That same data shows that only 2-3 million customers subscribe for pay TV service. That leaves some 37-38 million households still watching free to air (FTA) channels.

It is estimated that in the coming years TV cable subscribers in Indonesia will almost double to 5 million customers. Biznet Network’s Adi Kusma is optimistic that max3 will be eagerly embraced by the Bali marketplace.

Biznet Networks targets 1,000 subscribers through 5,000 homepasses built in Bali for their new service. The target markets for max3 are homes, apartments and villas. The present areas now served by Biznet’s max3 Internet + Cable TV are Seminyak, Ubud, Kerobokan, Denpasar, Kuta, Nusa Dua and Jimbaran.

For hotels, service apartments, hospitals and dormitories Biznet Networks offers max3 hospitality service - an integrated solution combining Biznet Dedicated Line and max3 Cable TV services.

The first hotel in Bali to sign up for max3 hospitality solution is the RIMBA Jimbaran Resort that opened its doors on September 18, 2013. “Our guests are hoping for the best services, and it has been our commitment to provide the best facilities such as high-speed Internet connection, WiFi, and high quality Cable TV with Digital HD to fulfill RIMBA’s guests satisfaction, ” explained Clive Edwards resort manager, RIMBA Jimbaran Resort Bali.
