Nearly 200 representatives of leading corporations from around the Pacific Basin were treated to canapés and free-flowing American wines presented on from a cliff-top vantage with views to the Indian Ocean. A traditional Balinese Jegog Orchestra played and a tableaux vivant depicting a Balinese wedding scene provided entertainment during the sundowner event.

Also hosted as special guests at the reception were members from the Nusa Dua Roteract Club, providing an opportunity for the next generation of Indonesian business and community leaders to network with key personnel from the Asia-Pacific's leading corporations.

Acting as special guest of honor for the evening was the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, Penny Sue Pritzker, in Bali participating as part of the U.S. official delegation to APEC led by U.S. State Department Secretary John Kerry.

During the course of the evening, Danny Hughes President of AmCham Indonesia presented a pair of specially prepared Converse HiTop Sneakers to US Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker for delivery to U.S. President Obama upon her return to Washington, D.C.. Denoting the country in which the sneakers were produce, the cloth design on the shoes was rendered in an ancient batik design specific to Indonesia.
